Congrats to Capriati--I've always thought she was an odd mixture of likeable and woefully cantankerous. I guess her induction that means she's retired. Look for her soon on Dancing with the Stars.

Take note, Caroline Wozniacki; this is how to play a practical joke:
Maria Sharapova fooled us all. Two days after posting pictures of a new, short haircut on Facebook, the tennis star revealed that they were a fake. She revealed Wednesday that she was wearing a wig in the two photos that caused an international uproar.

Novak Djokovic rocked by death of his grandfather
World No.1 Novak Djokovic is determinded to continue playing in the Monte Carlo Masters despite receiving the sad news that his beloved grandfather, Vladimir, has passed away.
Djokovic, 24, had been on the practice court ahead of his clash against Ukrainian Alexandr Dolgopolov later today when word reached him of his grandfather's death.
Canal+ showed the Serb, winner of the Australian Open and Miami Masters already this year, in tears alongside his agent and team as word of his grandfather reached him via his mobile phone.
Respected Times journalist, Neil Harman, who is in the principality, tweeted: "A very sad day for Nole. He doted on his grandfather. I sense there will be an even greater vigour in his stride today."
He continued: "I'm sorry to say that news about death of @DjokerNole's grandfather is true but he is determined to play today..."

The Official Gazette announces that the cantonal furniture Patty Schnyder will be auctioned Thursday at Schindellegi. Racquets and tennis balls are also among the proposed business to the highest bidder.
The former German champion and her husband were domiciled in Bäch, a tax haven on the banks of Lake Zurich, until last spring. On their departure, they deposited a portion of their business in a repository.
Seizure and sale of these cases should bring a few thousand francs to creditors. According to the SonntagsBlick, Patty Schnyder and Rainer Hofmann prosecution would be for an amount of 380,000 francs. Asked by TeleZüri, vice president of Swiss Tennis, Erik Keller, regrets this situation: "We'll come We would love to help ready to help Patty. But it's her turn to us, she has to ask us "he said.

Does anyone know if all of the Slams stream the matches for free, or just a couple of the Slams? Thinking of getting rid of cable and relying on streams, but I've always had problems with Tennis TV.
