    That's not a solution either, particularly on a scale needed in China. You'd simply export the problem to some other country. I don't think there are many places (any?) with a large excess of women...

    Not sure they did. The policy resulting in this outcome was instituted more than 30 years ago for fighting a different problem. Right now very difficult to do anything.

    Forgot to add that Meldonium has been developed decades ago to treat a heart condition and is still prescribed for it in former USSR countries.
