Re: Best Matches of Tennis Community Contest

Say what you will of Isner/Mahut, but it did catch a lot of non-tennis attention and is a remarkable statistic (for maybe the wrong reasons).

Best Matches of Tennis Community Contest

    Hi all.

An idea floating around to pass the non-tennis time is to have a community poll "contest" of sorts. One idea was the to establish a bracket of best ATP and best WTA matches. A few other...

Sticky: Re: Tennis Random, Random 2.0

I wonder about the financial/career impact for mid-to lower tier players (not the big names, who can weather cancelation of tournaments this year just fine).

Davis/Fed cups have not been since they changed formats.

This week is qualifying for groups only.

End of November they play a ton of world group round robins then semis/finals all at once.

I will say regarding the method that it's harder to have the traditional farewell tour when one isn't ranked high enough for entry in most tournaments.

There's not enough money in challengers to support organizing a different venue in another country, etc. Travel expenses come out of players pockets to begin with.
