But how about prices? I'm betting they recovered much quicker even adjusting for inflation.

    Re: Laver Cup Geneva 9/20 - 9/22 2019

So the two best non-European players (Kei and Schwartzman), one of them going into the quarters of the USO were not called in favor of Raonic, Sock and a bunch of others who failed to make it to the...

I'm not so sure about real estate. I mean, someone with money will survive and start buying because prices drop waiting for the uptick.

I'm thinking a 50% global wipeout could bring civilized society to a collapse. (at least temporarily). Mostly because of the pandemonium that would break out.

I doubt Collins had anything to do with Tower of Tandil, but I can't assure it 100%.

That's it Canada. I hope you enjoyed your first and last slam. She's been marked with the kiss of death. Watch her have a hot air balloon fall on her while watching Netflix and spoil her career.

    Re: Tennis nicknames

Rafa is also called El Matador and La Fiera (the beast).

Delpo of course, also dubbed La Torre de Tandil (the tower of Tandil)

    They're retired but still:

El Mago Coria, El Gato Gaudio, Willy...

What are her reasons (if she gave any) for returning?

    Poll: Re: The GOAT

I liked Jon's assertion that tennis should not worry about replacing the big 3, since they're not players, they're unicorns.

Daniil stayed on-court signing autographs. He's genuine, with his good and his bad.

A certain serb could learn something from him.

Different people, different criteria I guess.

I was impressed with Medvedev. He kept his cool and battled beyond fatigue.

I just lost a couple of years of my life.

I'm done with tennis. I'm going to start following blind chess.

Medvedev is good. Surprising to see him so intact with all the mileage from this summer.

I don't know about the rest, but starting with his match against Schwartzman, I felt Rafa was struggling...

I've had a bad feeling since the start and that we're in a fifth set only confirms it. I'm not optimistic, less so with the tightness Rafa is revealing.

Re: '19 USO Day 13 OoP & Discussion

Agreed. Besides, I'm not sure Serena-Prime would've won anyways. Andreescu can handle the power and is a much better mover.

And of course that Serena wasn't a hot mess, but there were so many...

Re: '19 USO Day 13 OoP & Discussion

Though not a wildly ingratiating thing to say, Serena is right. This match was as much about Andreescu's game and mental strength as it was about Serena's mental issues. Her only decent patch came...

Horrendous level of play from Serena.

So nervous. Going for too much; double-faulting, etc
