Re: '20 Grammy Awards Noms & Discussion

I've never understood why they don't rename it "Breakthrough Artist" or something. There have been some absurd winners in that category over the years.

I can't remember the last time I thought this about the Grammy nominations, but they made some truly wonderful decisions this year. Lizzo, Beyonce, Karen O., Danger Mouse, Michelle Obama, The...

    Re: ATP WTF London 11/10 - 11/17 2019

For me, This has been the most entertaining WTF since the mid-2000s. The quality is high, the storylines are interesting, #1 up for grabs, the big 3 didn’t steamroll...it’s been great!

There's a pretty entertaining YouTube video about why they don't care for each other: https://youtu.be/h0uspZL2VlE (contains some foul language)

There’s been a lot of advanced hype about maybe Jennifer Lopez being a solid Oscar contender for the movie Hustlers and I thought it was just Hollywood being Hollywood. Frivolous Oscar buzz just...

I already think all the top players are prima donnas but Roger’s whole “why didn’t you just give me a harsh talking to” thing kinda gave the game away. Yes, the rules apply to everyone and seems to...

Andreescu is so versatile and adaptable, I think she can figure Naomi out over 3 sets much more readily than vice versa.

I'm surprised at the chilly reception this is getting here. I'll have it on in the background while I'm working or cleaning up and it'll be a very good time. The hype is just hype (it reminds me of...

Re: '19 USO Day 14 OoP & Discussion

That match almost killed me! Medvedev is an fin star. Rafa - I would have fainted under that much pressure.

Re: '19 USO Day 14 OoP & Discussion

Both players seem really tight so far. Medvedev is letting Rafa get away with some shockingly passive shots. And vice versa.

And Rafa's figuring out the drop shot, which Berrettini has been deploying as a bit of a secret weapon (with literally perfect success until the last one in the tiebreak - like 7 for 7 or something)....

What a tiebreak! Berrettini choked that away - no two ways about it. I think Charlie02123 used to talk about how the Big Three don't so much "raise their game" in pressure moments, but they simply...

I have never seen Serena have so much success with the drop shot as she's had this tournament. And it's wild because her drop shot is, relatively speaking, bad. She's just picking the timing...

So Svitolina just played two pretty good games, held 7 total game points and is down 0-2...and Serena is not at her top level yet....but she's quickly getting there. Elina is not a happy camper.
