Almost. And he certainly is beatable in the same way that Fed was in his prime. That's why Nole's won 4 of the last 5 slams.

Re: '19 Wmbldn Day 13 OoP & Discussion

Yes, the most Slams looks certainly feasible, but 4 more Wimbledons to surpass Roger? It seems like a stretch. I know that right now it seems like no one can beat him, but that's another four years...

Ouch, what an awful way to go after such a match.

Now, Nole just doesn't choke. Admirable. Vexing, but admirable.

So they saved the new rule for the final. At this point, whoever loses is going to be gutted. Specially if it's Roger having served for the title with two MPs.

Roger's strokes are breaking down. Shanking too many forehands and erring on his backhand.

We Rafa fans know how meaningful a second set breadstick is here, so rest assured, this is in Roger's bag.
    :cheesy:

In two hours or so we can all -except the 3 Nole fans- go commiserate.

Nole takes the first. Roger is more versatile but Nole is steadier and that made the difference in the tiebreak.

I'm going to have to root for Roger come Sunday...

Fun fact, RBA had planned his bachelor party in Ibiza (even his friends are there right now) but it got postponed since he didn't expect to still be in London.

No no, it's pronounced Pela very similar to how you'd say Peloponnese or pellet.

I thought that Sam acquitted himself rather well though the scoreline of the two last sets was lopsided.

The double L be pronounced as a single L, in other words as a sort of shhhh like in the word lluvia (rain), and then you have some purists that pronounce it as elle.

Re: '19 Wmbldn Day 9 OoP & Discussion

Meanwhile, Nole is through to the semis. After Goffin gifted back his break in the first set he went on a mental walkabout and got bageled. Yes they've just begun the third set but it hardly matters...

It's Gee (as in McGee) - do Pe-la (no weird double L pronunciation)

Halep-Serena is the de facto final IMO, with Serena being favored.

Halep might on other surfaces, not seeing it on grass. That leaves Konta.
