    Re: Davis Cup 2019

Shapovalov beat Fritz in straight sets to clinch Canada's first-ever win over the US, and first place in group F. Canada will play the winner of group E (either Belgium or Australia) in the late...

And Pospisil wins it in a second tie-breaker. Opelka was dominant on serve (28 aces, won 91% of first serve points), but Pospisil is more reliable in rallies. Opelka made 25 unforced errors to only...

    Re: Davis Cup 2019

Sportsnet showed a graphic on the historic USA-Canada record in Davis Cup. USA has won all 15 ties they've played, and have a match record of 70-3!

    Pospisil just won a first-set tie-breaker after...

Yes, Shapovalov just crushed Monfils in that match, took less than an hour. The Tennis Podcast has talked about him on a couple of their daily episodes this week, how much he's improved since...

    Re: '19 WTA YEC Shenzen 10/27 - 11/3

Wow, Cahill really dressed down Halep on this latest consult.

No strategic advice, just "get your head out of your ass and back in the game". Not in so many words, but that was the gist of what...

    Re: '19 WTA YEC Shenzen 10/27 - 11/3

I'm really of two minds about Cahill and Halep.

On the one hand, it makes me think that Halep isn't smart enough to think her way out of a paper bag. There were several commentators on Twitter...

And Andreescu retires after losing the first set 63. Told her coach earlier that she could only bend her knee so much (due to all the strapping, I assume) and that her knee was cracking/clicking...

Andreescu having a medical timeout for a knee injury. It wasn't twisted or anything, just collapsed as she was moving to hit a ball. She's having it all wrapped up, but I don't think she'll finish...

    Re: '19 WTA YEC Shenzen 10/27 - 11/3

Barty was really playing crap for a good stretch there. Lost eight straight games, I believe, from 3-2 up in the second set. At 0-4 in the third set, she went up 40-0, then faced a few break points...

    Re: ATP M500 Vienna, Basel 10/21 - 10/27 2019

Rogers wins for his 103rd career title. He's now 76-9 lifetime in Basel.

I was thinking Nadal in Barcelona might be close in wins. He's only 61-4 there. That's a 56-player draw, so six...

Yes, they are using nets in Vienna. The handle/shape are the same as a tennis racquet, so you could easily mistake it when they're stationary.

Puig pulls it out in two tie-breakers after 2:51. Pliskova had saved a previous match point with a scintillating passing shot. Poor Krystyna just never seems to pull through in these matches.

That was an incredible final set. Monfils kept falling behind, coming back, falling behind, coming back. And some amazing points in there too.
