    Re: Covid19 & Tennis

Same with a good friend of mine - she couldn't get approved to be tested early on and by the time they approved her for a test, she tested negative. She was sick for over a month, with the chest...

Re: '20 USO Lists, OoP's and Discussion

I always expected Rafa to prioritize the FO over the US Open, especially with the travel complications. We'll see what happens over the next few weeks with regards to the French.

Murray gets my vote for lob. Having trouble thinking of a women's player at the moment.

Re: Great Strokes. The DROP SHOT

I nominate Federer, with some beautiful spin on it. I guess Iím in disagreement with Ti because Aga was the one who came to mind for me in the womenís game.

Poll: Re: Great strokes. The Mind. ATP.

I'm going with Rafa on this one since his attitude right from the start of the match is that every point counts.
Definitely some great candidates on this list (Borg, Connors, Lendl) but I still...

Poll: Re: Great strokes. ATP. Greatest Athlete

I went with Lendl since he was the first to really put a focus on physical conditioning.
In the honorable mention category, I would add Agassi 2.0. Nadal is a beast but gets injured too often to...

Poll: Re: Great strokes. Footwork. WTA

Going with Evert for this one.
I've always found Serena to be overrated in this category - off-balance too much of the time.

    Honorable mention to Domi Cibulkova.

Going with Roger just because it is such a joy to watch him move around the court.

Poll: Re: Great strokes. WTA, Return of serve.

Going with Seles on this one - probably one of the first to really turn the return of serve into a weapon.

Poll: Re: Great strokes. Return of serve. ATP.

I went with Agassi (with Djokovic close behind). Part of Agassi's strength was depth of shot and ability to go for the lines.

Poll: Re: Great strokes. Smash. WTA

I went with Graf since this was smash. Today's players tend to spend much more time on the swinging volley.

Poll: Re: Great strokes. FIRST SERVE, ATP.

    I went with Sampras.

I would go with Isner for the second serve; his second has a mean kick and I haven't checked numbers, but he seems to hit a decent number of second serve aces.
