Re: '19 Wmbldn Day 13 OoP & Discussion

It was pretty obvious during the match, but this just really shows how much this came down to winning the key points.

Re: '19 Wmbldn Day 13 OoP & Discussion

My big knock is that the sets that Fed won were kinda just from a listless Novak, not much fight once he was down a break. 2008 each man had to fight for every set and so many games. But the 3 sets...

Dammit, Roger played those first 2 sets so well, but Novak with all the momentum, up 2 sets to 1. I'm hoping Roger can dig deep and take it to 5 but it feels like it's Novak's day :(

I'm guessing RBA does not employ a sports psychologist on his team.

Re: Final Slam Count for the Big 3

For what it's worth, the oddsmakers have Nadal as a slight favorite, but not by much.

    Re: ATP WTA GS Wimbledon 7/1 - 7/14 2019

I'm old so I don't know precisely what defines "hot take", but I feel like Ben is trying to emulate Andy Murray's (sometimes excessive) attempts to take offense at things on behalf of women. If you...

Rafa literally said it would have been a good decision either way, and Ben's quote was "I am a little bit more than her". LOL

Did Sabatini underachieve? I always thought of her as a really solid player who happened to play when Graf did, and Graf just owned her. A bit of an Andy Roddick IMO.

Sticky: Re: Talk about Rankings (TAR :))

Where do we think Felix is going to wind up at the end of 2019? He's currently 19th, but he's only defending about 260 points through December. I think he'll be in the top 10 after the US Open and...

The sad part is, he would probably be super competitive against Nadal because Nick would actually show up for that one.

Fair point, but I will say that was at their peaks, when they were each miles ahead of the field. Now that they're more down to earth, Nadal was the heavy odds favorite from the start of the French,...

    Re: ATP WTA GS Wimbledon 7/1 - 7/14 2019

Yeah, of course there's no clear distinction between clay and grass talent now. What a crazy notion. I mean, if there were a clear distinction, you'd expect like one guy to win 12 times at the French...
