    Twenty years ago, on the morning of Monday December 7th, the streets of Caracas and almost all major cities in Venezuela were celebrating with joy. The savior we had so long been waiting for had been elected president the day before, under the electoral system that did not have a second round and did not take into account that the majority of the people had voted against him.     Because of the political and economical crisis that Venezuela has been going through, the main and large airlines of the world no longer fly there. The problem takes a while to explain.

    I like airports. During the last 20 years of my life I have been fortunate that my job has flown me to several different places in the world, lovely destinations and adventurous places where I have enjoyed experiences. When I am in one of those trips, the initial step is always the airport, where I sit down and contemplate my final destination. It is an enjoyable experience, waiting to be called to board a plane and take off to a place way over the horizon.

  4. On Violence

    Violence, the saying goes, is the language of those that are not right. The saying is completely correct in that, if you are not wrong, you do not need to recourse to violence. The strength of your actions and statements are enough.
    Or would be if the saying would go on and expand a bit more. Because violence may be the language of those that are not right but violence is very effective. It is a universal language, easily understood by everybody ever since in that apocryphal scene in 2001 ...
