Stupid ATP side of EMW for totally negating my WTA bronze .

Thanks koffie! This is awesome. :notworthy:

Excellent...a contest about all of our contests!

indeed a great idea. Now there are so many contests that I'm getting lost, today saw the YEC and Masters Run threads and had to read and see what it was about becuase "somehow" my name appeared...:cheesy:

Interestingly enough, I believe that I will be the over-all fantasy tennis contest leader once my 1,000 points are credited for the most recent TAT TMDtm contest. :cheesy:

(For those not in the know, this is of course The Maureen Diaz tennis Memorial Contest. This was an especially complex challenge, as for the first part of the contest, BPDN had to dress Jack up as Maureen Diaz, and then.....well......perhaps it's best if you don't know the rest.....)

that's hilarious! And I'm sure it would be even funnier if I had any idea who Maureen Diaz was.

that's hilarious! And I'm sure it would be even funnier if I had any idea who Maureen Diaz was.

......Ya see, THIS is what happens when you go on the WTA website to troll for players with the initials "MD." BPDN figured that Martina Di Giuseppe would just confuse the good people of TAT with that "Guiseppe" business-- Maureen Drake is frankly QUITE past her prime, so no longer worthy of metion-- and, let's face it, Marta Domachowska is far too obvious a choice.

AND- as it turns out, BPDN just found out that Ms. Diaz just beat Mashona Washington 4 and 2 in the January 2008 Surprise, Arizona (and, no, BPDN is NOT making up the name of Surprise, Arizona- of course, now someone from TAT will come out as being from Surprise, Arizona and get all offended, but really, you have to be ready for this when you come from Surprise, Arizona- a location so desolate that the Surprise, Arizona townspeople apparently cannot afford to get an exclamation mark for their fine town which at LEAST would mean that the name of their town would make more sense for us)- the very same Surprise!, Arizona tournament that Miss "Unwed Moms RULE" Karatantcheva just won.

Surprise is now basically a suburb of Phoenix. It used to be considered out in the boonies, and is not to be confused with Carefree, Arizona.

They're saving the exclamation point for Surprise! The Musical.

Yes Koffie, very cool idea. And I'm actually doing well!! (Geez, i didn't know). Given that I missed last year's slide into Paris, and crashed and burned in Green Acres, I could move up even further.

Right, the table has been updated (see p. 1) to reflect the ranking points earned during the Mad Dash to Miami! :) Quite a few of those already ranked have points to defend for The Slide into Paris!! So, if you haven't created your team yet... GET A MOVE ON!!! :D

Yes, I'm hoping you update this for Green Acres first, because I'll take a big dive when the Hard Road to New York gets added in.

Our Fantasy Tennis Overall Rankings have been updated through Green Acres.

Our leader is Drop-Shot, followed by krutin in second, and oploskoffie in third!

Thank you. See, I get to see my self in seventh place for a brief time. Now, as soon as you update the HRtNY scores, I'll plunge down the rankings again.

Unless I do extremely well in EMW, I expect to move further down the rankings because of that disappointing GA score! :wall:

Our TAT Fantasy Tennis Allstar Rankings have been updated to reflect the results of our East Meets West contest. These are the final standings for the year.

And here are the results (all usual suspects!):

1st Place: Krutin
2nd Place: Drop-Shot
3rd Place (tie): Scotty and Jack

Congratulations to our winners! And thanks to everyone who participated in TAT's 2008 fantasy tennis contests!

These rankings will "rovolve" into 2009. In other words, when AMitS is completed, the current point totals will be replaced with the new scores. And so on. So if you don't like your ranking, it can be fixed over time. But ya gotta play! :cheesy:

A special thanks to our fantasy tennis contest administrators: oploskoffie, jessie, Drop-shot, and luvs10s. None of this would be possible without their hard work and dedication!

Not bad...highest ranked among those with only 3 tourneys.

(of course someone tied me with only 2 tournies...heh.)
