By my count, the women out-bagelled the men 7-5 on day one.

But my picks took a couple of big hits on day one (Paszek and Brengle).

Thanks for making this thread...never knew where to put 20 Questions discussion, and this certainly works...

There were way more bagels than I would have anticipated...12 on one day?.

In earring news, Justine wore none, while Sharapova's, Jankovic's, and Serena's hung down from their ears.

And Wednesday's match between Medina Garrigues and Dementieva is likely to settle the 5+ syllable race very early on.

So if AMG wins, we get a point no matter who we picked (unless we've chosen Dementieva to outlast thet other 4-syllable-named players)?

The men decisively out-bagelled the women on Tuesday, 11-3. (Surprising, given the number of severe beatdowns on the women's side. Savchuk, Govotsova, Dulko and Johansson won 7 games between them, but were only bagelled once.) That's 16 for the men, 10 for the women in the first round. I don't remember exactly, but there were about 20 each last year. Of course, they're more likely to occur in the early rounds, and the tournaments are more than half over already, in terms on matches played.

No, if Dementieva wins, and Rodionova, Garcia-Lopez, and Ruano Pascual all lose, then Dementieva pickers and Medina Garrigues pickers both get it. If Medina Garrigues wins, then Dementieva pickers would get it wrong.

The bagels have been very surprising. 26 people already undershot men's bagels, although only 5 have already undershot the women's total. Only six people thought the men would have more, so those six are lookin' good.

Anyone seen any shirt changing pics on the Yahoo! photo wire? I haven't.

Thanks kayce!

I am very surprised that Best Scandinavian is still a live question this late in the weekend, what with Nieminen and Wozniacki still around.

Me too. I also doubled up on Jarkko with "fourth-round loser" what with his section being littered with Roddick/PEHK, but he's the one that got through :)

I need y'all's help.

I didn't get to see Novak's speech, and I need to know if he named any sponsors (most likely Kia or Garnier), congratulated the Tsonga entourage, or cried.

Once I know that I can announce our winner :)

Merci.

Anyone know about the other questions?

He congratulated Jo-Willy, but I don't believe any part of his team or family were mentioned. And I don't think Nole cried, either.

Merci.

Anyone know about the other questions?

I heard the Russian commentators mention one of them had tears, but I couldn't see which one. I think it was Tsonga.
