Ok, I picked TMKF, but if Nalbandian gets it, I'd pick him.

How many of you think that Fed, Rafa and Djokester pooled together 3 million dollars to get Andy to play Shanghai so Gervasio could not play?;)

If anyone drops out and lets Nalbandian in as the alternate they better be prepared to be the most unpopular player on tour next year!

that's Davydenko's cue to withdraw

I went with Djokovic, but not with very much conviction.

I gotta say, this one is a crapshoot to me, excluding Ferrer. Nadal did well last week, but I gotta say no one seems particularly in form to me.

I went with Djokovic, too, also with no conviction. He obviously CAN beat anyone there, but so can Roger and Rafa and all 3 of them got outclassed so badly last week that it's hard to get really predict any of them running through the field. I don't think we'll see an undefeated champion this year. But that will make it a lot more interesting.

I feel like Fernando and Richard are the only 2 there that really have no shot at it whatsoever and may only win any matches if they end up in each other's section.

I don't see Ferrer winning more than one match either...

This just might be the most one-sided poll in TAT history...

In some polls can't you see who picked who? This would be a good way to out said picker :p

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that Kirkus is the one who picked Roddick

Either Kirkus or CraigH picked Roddick

i gotta say, gasquet may not be such a long shot to win two matches depending on the group he gets in. i'd like his chances against gonzo and either ferrer or djokovic, i feel like he'd be able to beat djokovic indoors for some reason. but yea, if nalbandian got in he'd be hard to bet against, guy's sick indoors.

;)Ok so Madame, did you pick Gasquet?

Madame

no :(

I must say I very conservativly selected Federer

I don't know, ....
Gasquet is french, so he doen't just explode like that, he will build this little by little
Let's say he wins in 2009 ??? :o

Those are only the polls which are "open". If you make a poll, you have the choice whether to make the results viewable to other people or not. I generally like to make open polls. I like seeing who people pick :)

anywho..

This is pretty easy to predict, really. I picked Federer. The only people, to me, who have an outside chance are Nadal and Djokovic.

How's that flight off the cliff looking? (Actually, you predicted Ferrer would beat Djokovic and Nadal)

And I also predicted Federer to beat them all - doesn't look too unlikely at them moment ;)

Does anyone have Fed-Ferrer final? Moose may be...

No, Suliso. I had David beating RRS, and losing to Nole and Rafa.

Most everyone had Federer at least making the final, but Bea DID pick Ferrer to make the final (and lose to Gasquet).

The more interesting thing about this week's predictions is that no one picked Aspelin and Knowle to win this week. Eight people have Knowles/Nestor, and I think all of the other doubles teams had at least one person pick them... But not Aspelin/Knowle...

Which of course means that they're going to win. :hyst:

I'd love to see Ferrer going out with his A-game tomorrow - Federer has to have had his confidence dented a bit with recent losses. If Ferrer can go out on court with confidence he definitely has a chance.

Nothing like humiliating Andy to restore Fed's confidence.

I don't think Roger has a confidence problem right about now.

So many contenders favourite to win the Shanghai Open here : Nadal, Federer, Djokovic, Davydenko, Roddick, Ferrer, etc... I think Nadal or Federer won the Shanghai Open.

Now that I know we can vote in polls three and a half years later, I think my winning percentage is going to see some drastic improvement.

You'll be the last to do so; just closed it down. Admittedly, a few days too late :cow:
