Everyone is invited to participate in TAT's final fantasy tournament of the year--"East Meets West: The Final Countdown". The tournament will consist of five ATP and five WTA tournaments leading up to, but NOT including, the year-end championships for both tours. At the end of the tournament, we will have winners for the ATP contest and the WTA contest, as well as an overall winner for the participant who posts the highest combined score for both contests.

Contest Schedule
Please be advised that the WTA contest will begin on Monday, September 24 with the start of play in Luxembourg. Your team MUST be posted before the start of play to be eligible for the WTA contest. The tournament schedule for this contest includes the five following events:

LUXEMBOURG, STUTTGART, MOSCOW, ZURICH, LINZ

The ATP contest will begin on Monday, October 1 with the start of play in Tokyo. Again, your team must be posted before the start of play to be eligible for the ATP contest. The tournament schedule for this contest includes the five following events:

TOKYO, MOSCOW, MADRID, BASEL, PARIS
Your Teams

Your WTA team will consist of 8 players from the top 100 women on the WTA Tour. You will have 100 credits to spend on your 8-woman team. The top 100 players on the official WTA rankings as of September 10, 2007 are divided into 4 categories. Each player is priced according to her ranking. You'll purchase 2 players from each category.

Substitutions
You are allowed up to 2 subsititutions for each contest. (You cannot use three for the ATP contest and one for the WTA contest.) Substitutions can be made at any time, but a substitution will not go into effect until the following tournament. To make a substitution, sell a player back (adding his or her price to your remaining credits) then simply buy another player. YOU MUST ALWAYS HAVE 2 PLAYERS PER CATEGORY ON YOUR TEAM AND YOU CAN NEVER HAVE SPENT MORE THAN 100 CREDITS.

Categories and Player Pricing
CATEGORY A: Players 1-15. Price 16-30 credits each.
CATEGORY B: Players 16-40. Price 9-15 credits each.
CATEGORY C: Players 41-70. Price 6-8 credits each.

It is your responsibility to "scout" the players on your team and insure that they intend to play in scheduled tournaments. The team you have at the start of each tournament is the team you're playing.

Again, your WTA team must be posted by the start of play in Luxembourg. Your ATP team must be posted by the start of play in Tokyo.
