Remember, once you have selected a player, you cannot use them again. Be sure to consult the Picks and Results thread to make sure your choice is not one you used before (a duplicate choice results in your elimination).

Your choices are due by the start of play on Saturday, June 2, 11:00 a.m. Paris Time (5:00 a.m. USA Eastern Time, 2:00 a.m. US West Coast time).

Good luck, everyone!

Have to go with Lleyton Hewitt- he's been playing well, but I don't know if he can make it past Nadal after this round.

Even though Moya may have mislaid his automobile and be pretty zicki about it, I think he will still rally to breeze through, so I pick:

CARLOS MOYA!

ok before i make my pick, can someone please answer this for me, as i have never made it this far in an SP i'm a little unsure of how this works once it gets into the later rounds, so can someone explain to me how the picking works from the quarters on in? like do we still make a pick from the top half and the bottom half even if they're playing on the same day? thanks...

Yup...we still pick once from each half for each round, except the semifinals.

So after today we have 6 picks left:

Round of 16 on each half (2 picks)
Quarterfinals on each half (2 picks - must be the seminfinalist losers to beat the draw)
One semifinal pick (who must lose the final)
Finals pick

Some of us may run out of picks before the end. For example, if you picked someone in an earlier round and they go onto make the semis...you already can't beat the draw! You have to think ahead right from round 1 on!

Hope that's clear.

As for my pick...like I said it's all pretty neatly mapped out for me now too...EXCEPT my pick in the next round on this half of the draw. I'll have to take an unseeded player (or pick Ferrer/Djokovic and then pick an unseeded player to make semis.) If Moya and baghdatis both win, I have to pick an upset an hope for the best.

This round, however, is pretty easy. Lleyton Hewitt please!

I have irrational fear of a Hewitt over Nadal upset, so, with that in mind,

Oscar Hernandez.

In the mean time, I'll start thinking up grouch jokes in case he loses.

I didn't think Carlos Moya had it in him to last this long, but now it looks like he's my best option. So I pick everyone's favorite Antonio Banderas doppelganger.
