Sometimes it's easier to do all the editing at one time, rather than piecemeal. There are just so many day 1 matches hanging right now.

If you picked Bjorkman for tomorrow, GV, I am going to start wondering if you two are the same person. I have almost proved that Ivo Karlovic and Akgul Amanmuradova are.

Well, I promised that I wasn't going to say a word about Venus during the tournament. And I'm going to say this now because i don't think it counts... But you're going to regret it when she makes the semis.... And so will Moose when it ruins his hopes for an all-Serb final. :cheesy:

Hey - am I still alive on the women's side? I just got back into town. I put in my men's pick on my handheld, then when I tried to check the women's results, I just saw all this negative posting about Schiavone, so I figured she had lost. Then I saw something about no day 3 pick for women. Then my battery died. Now I find out she won her match.

Have I defaulted or am I still in the running if I get a pick in for tomorrow?.

Not till today, unfortunately, that's why I asked my question last night. That paragraph is clear. But mmm8's post to PeterSkan was not. "You're alive" means, well...

That's why I replied once more.

My first opening day/round exit, albeit a rain-delayed one :( Actually, I'm almost more upset at staying up so late making my second (now meaningless) pick than being sent to the LL so early... Hopefully I can keep my remaining cheek out till at least next week, which would be an improvement on my first SP performance at the AO.

Whenever we encounter an issue, we alwasy try to explain at the very beginning what the issue is, and how we are dealing with it. That's why any special circumstances (rain delays, changes in order of play.....) will always be listed at the very beginning of the first post for the day.

Sorry I wasn't able to reply to your post while you were on yesterday...I answered it as soon as I could, but I guess you didn't get to see it.

It's wonderful that almost everyone who made a Day 3 pick survived, probably one of the best percentages in SP history...

I just wonder how long it can last...

I would dare say, oohsalmon, that our Day 3 womens was probably the most successful Day for our players i nthe history of our SP's. If not for Peschke, it would have been a clean sweep.

after today's bloodbath, we are down from 210 players (a record) to 93. Needless to say, the one two punch of Alona Bondarenko (35) and Gisela Dulko (19) decimated our players today. Make that 89, now that Muller has gone down as well. And we have Hantuchova's carry over match hanging in the balance for tomorrow.

I thought Tati's record was 34, which Alona would have beaten today with her 35. Gonna have to hit the archieves later and check.

Vliegen's still got the mens record, and yes, it is 31.

THANKS FOR POINTING OUT HOW YESTERDAY WAS SUCH A GREAT DAY AND JINXING US! :P

I'm ticked, because I had 3 to choose from and my other two won, but I saved them in case only one made it so I'd have a selection for next round. Always go with your gut and worry about the future if you make it!

Also funny that we made sure everyone specified which Bodarenko they picked...and then both lost.

Based on the scoreline, I wonder if I picked her too soon.

If Jankovic beats Maid M. that's a good looking QF. In fact we could have 4 very interesting QFs this year.

If Jankovic beats Maid M. that's a good looking QF. In fact we could have 4 very interesting QFs this year.

Vaidisova won? HUGE sigh of relief. :D Hopefully we didn't pick her too soon.

Anyway, Jelena, you need to win so you can beat Nicole!

Based on the scoreline, I wonder if I picked her too soon.

I agree. It'll be the hardest choice yet. :freekingout:
