View Full Version : Day 2 (Tuesday) MENS RGSP - PICK DUE from bottom 1/2

Moose
05-28-2007, 12:06 PM
NOTE: It appears they have scheduled all of the bottom half matches for Tuesday.

Welcome to soggy, rainy Day 2 of the RG Mens Suicide Pool. Your pick for today will be from the bottom half of the mens draw. 32 matches (in addition to rained out matches from the top half, which you cannot pick from) are scheduled for tomorrow.

After today, hopefully the rain will stop. If all these matches get playd, the draw will be on schedule, and we can continue with our regular picks.

Remember once you use a player, you can never use them again. There will be a “picks and results thread” posted later so you can check the choices you have already made.

It is very important you follow the posted schedule of play for the day.

For those that survive the Sunday/Monday day 1 pick, your day 2 pick will be due before the start of play on Tuesday as usual.

Post your Day 2 pick by replying IN THIS THREAD. Your pick must be in before the start of play for the day in Paris (11:00 A.M. Paris Time Tuesday May 29th). For those in the US, Paris is six (6) hours later than the east coast, nine (9) hours on the West coast. Don’t be late as we hate making those hard decisions, but we will.

Best of luck and thanks for joining us.

"I need Patience, and someone strong enough to hold my breath for me until the smoke clears. I need Patience, and time to think before I speak for when I'm short of breath."

And I, of course, need Patience to win for me.

So I'm going with...you guessed it...

Querrey or Hrbaty? Both are playing guys who made it through qualifying so they are match tough. It might be the only chance to go with an American, or Hrbaty, who hasn't been doing very well lately but he's playing a guy 32 and off the tour for awhile (and NOT an Agassi).

I had Youzny for my Sunday pick, so I guess he needs to win first.

My Tuesday pick is Olivier Patience.

With a small pain in the pit of my stomach, I'm going to take Ferna-Verda (Fernando Verdasco). TW.

Urk, not a friendly slate of matches! I just don't want to use Moya up yet, I like his draw...

Jesus, this is already a total crapshoot. I don't want to pick any seeds yet so...

If Juan Monaco wins, I take Olivier Patience.

I've always liked Carlos Moya, so (if Ferrero wins as my first day pick) I'll pick him and hope he hangs around a round or two.
