Who Wants To Have A Football Prediction Game?

We can play a pick all the weeks game game, or there's another pool that we play at work...ypu have 7 of the weeks games, no spreads involved, you pick the weight you want to give the game (you have a 20, 25, 10, 8,5,3, and a 1 point game - your lock for the week would be your 20, your guess for a toss up would be your 1).

IF you're interested, leave a message in this post - we'll need a few players to make any game fun.

Cool...we'll have to do some promotion in August to get everyone's attnetion...should have at least 6-8 players tp make it fun.

The other thing we can do (maybe as a 2nd game) is a football suicide pool...its where I got the idea for our Tennis Suicide pool, there is one on the local sports talk radio station. Runs for the season (or until you pick a loser)...each week picking one game, one winner, and once you pick the team you can't pick them again.

I'll do a formatting for the 7 Game Weekly pool in the next couple of days so you can see how it is played, and then we can decide if it is the game we want to play for the NFL season, or if we just want to pick through the weeks games.

We can definitely make it fly with 7...we get more, even better. Maybe with having the board open during the US Open, we'll get a few more sports fans in on the game.
Maybe we can do a banner when we get closer to 1st games of the season...think opening Day is September 11th, right?

I"ll post some examples of the 2nd game I described next week, and then we can do a poll to see what game we want to play for the season.

Kirkus and I discussed where to run our game from on the board. We're leaning toward the "Non-Tennis Contests" thread, though maybe here in the sports thread would be better. If anyone has input one way or the other, let us know please.
Also, I'll have the poll up tonight or tomorrow for the type of pool we want to play for the season.

We're going to have two games, if that is cool with everyone.

Game 1 will be a simple pick the winners each week - we'll have the weeks games listed, and you'll chose the winners, without point spreads...we'll go the course of the season with that.

And because they are so loved here at TAT, we're going to have, for Game #2, a SUICIDE POOL. Each week of the season, you'll pick one game's winner...but that is the only time you can pick that team for the 17 week season. Again, its no points, just selecting a winner. I'll have all the rules in the thread when I start it over the weekend.
