I'm starting to feel the noose tightening here. Between players I want to save, players that I think the match is too close to call, and players I've allready used, I'm having trouble selecting a Day 6 pick.

Jon D'oh's Day 6 pick is Schnyder

I HOPE this doesn't come back to haunt me.

I'm taking Myskina.
But I'm not real happy about it.

Mary Pierce
I wanted to take Pierce, Bets. I think she's a lock winner for tomorrow. But I also think she could end up beating Justine, with the way Justine has been playing. That's why I stayed away.

Mary Pierce

If Justine gets her serve together she'll easily beat Mary.

Gotta say I'm surprised by the Schnyder pick...

She's 0-2 against Asagoe.

But it would be just like Patty to turn the tide now.

Mary Pierce

Easily? Don't know about that Maddison.

With Henin's big take-backs on her swings on both sides...

Pierce is precisely the kind of player who can rob her opponent of time. This is NOT the slow red clay of Roland Garros.

Plus, given Pierce's current health situation, who's to say she'll get by Jankovic? Jankovic has been waiting for that next big breakthrough... if she could only find a way to serve out a set without having to break for it! LOL!

Don't you wish we were watching the Serbo-Croatian Open...at least that way, we'd get to see Jelena/Pierce on TV.
I'd kill to have that match televised, and I know there is no way it will happen

Dry,

You must have forgotten what happened at the Olympic Games , on hardcourt of course.

After Mary whipped the defending champ ( you know very well who
:D ) Justine whipped Mary in straights.

Oh, Maddison, this isn't the same Mary Pierce of a year ago.

Did Henin seem to be moving gingerly in the second set in today's match against Cho? She was moving well during the points, I thought, but she seemed to be laboring a bit in her steps between points.

Dementieva is through to the 4th round. And of course, she made me sweat through a third-set tiebreaker.

And Dry let's out a HUGE sigh of relief.

OOOps [smiley=hammerhead.gif]

Japanese meltdown ... [smiley=wall.gif]

I guess posting my choice 10 minutes before deadline was a BAD IDEA [smiley=nutso.gif]

Now Seb better handle Tommy or I'll leave on vacation with dani a bit earlier than I thought...

Ironically Jankovic retired in the match vs. Mary
:D

Was sorry to see that result, though I'm happy for Pierce.
