quarter finals in the bottom of the draw on tap. Note everyone that makes it through today...check in tomorrow for a post explaining how we handle the semis and final.

Day 10 Womens Matches:

(7) Patty Schnyder vs. (3) Amelie Mauresmo
(2) Kim Clijsters vs. (W) Martina Hingis

If Sharapova beats Petrova and I survive day 9 then my day 10 pick will be : Kim Clijsters. I really wanted to save her for the finals but I have already picked the other three players. I thought that the Qfinals would all be played on the same day. Messed up my whole strategy :(

Of course, Sharapova must win first for this pick even to count.

Kim Clijsters

I have picked the other three already, so my options were limited

Well, with Lindsay's loss, I can't win this thing, but I can reach the final. Thus, for today, I am picking Kim Clijsters. This sure has been fun the first time!

Amelie Mauresmo

I want to pick Mauresmo but I'm worried that Kim's not 100%, if she isn't Mauresmo might beat her in the semis.
What the hell, all belgian final!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My pick: Amelie Mauresmo

As far as I can tell, there are still 5 of us who can go all the way, including me!

You know, I once saw a good French movie (with English subtitles) about a young woman looking for love and running around Paris performing anonymous good deeds for strangers.

Coincidentally, that movie shares its name with my next pick: Amelie (Mauresmo)

For me, I think this could be the biggest roundblock to beating the draw remaining, because predicting what Mauresmo and Schnyder are going to do is tough - they could both play wonderful tennis, and they can both choke horribly.

Amelie Mauresmo

She's usually a safe bet to make the semis. Let's all hope this isn't the time she decides to finally win a grand slam. I'll join the others predicting/hoping for an all Belgium final.
