While travelling the globe with your players make sure to stop by and mingle with fellow contestants. Make sure to try out our custom-made dartboards with the face of any player that is slacking behind.

So we'll get to learn about some new tournaments with crappy websites :) And say goodbye to a few others. Interesting change.

01-30-2017, 02:04 PM
This website might help with entry lists for all the tournaments - http://www.livetennis.it/
It is going to be interesting with almost every player in the top 100 playing at least one week out of the four how people put their teams together.

01-31-2017, 04:51 AM
No B group Federer this time!

02-05-2017, 07:33 AM
Nothing more confusing than having a draw with Sousa in entry list, then him being gone and Souza in instead.

This contest really helps give you an appreciation for how some of these clay courters stay so high in rankings..there are quite a few playing 3 or all 4 clay court tournaments for this contest...and I have probably more of them then I should :)

02-07-2017, 05:48 AM
D players demonstrating why they are D players. Monteiro, I'm looking at you.

02-07-2017, 07:07 AM
Here's my totally unofficial player count...I did this at work and got interrupted so there is a very low chance that I didn't make any mistakes. Time to see who we screwed over by picking, like our most popular C pick.

19 teams

A: Dimitrov (16), Thiem (13), Cilic (10), Tsonga (9), Goffin (6), Nadal (2), Wawrinka (1)

B: Ramos Vinolas (14), A Zverev (14), Karlovic (9), Bautista Agut (8), Simon (3), Verdasco (2), Pouille (1), Ferrer (1), Gasquet (1), Carreno Busta (1), Triocki (1), Johnson (1), Cuevas (1)

C: Evans (12), Lorenzi (10), Sousa (7), Brown (4), Belucci (4), Khacanov (3), Haase (2), Fognini (2), Stuff (2), Paire (1), Mahut (1), Seppi (1), Dolgopolov (1), Medvedev (1), Jaziri (1), Coric (1), Schwarztman (1), Kuznetsov (1), Delbonis (1)

D: Zeballos (11), Montiero (10), Dzuhumur (6), Garcia Lopez (5), Chardy (4), Olivo (3), Pella (3), Elias (3), Youzhny (2), Estrella Burgos (2), Tiafoe (1), Anderson (1), Istomin (1), Berlocq (1), Harrison (1)

Glad to see many others like me may have gone overboard with people playing all the clay tournaments. The entry list for B'sA's that just came out has all but three people chosen by at least one team...and one of the other three was not eligible (Melzer.) Nishikori is one of the other two and I wouldn't be surprised if someone was trading him in.

At least Cilic made it to the second round.

Congratulations to Brown pickers.

02-08-2017, 05:41 PM
And it was looking pretty sketchy against BYE for a bit too. That said, I was having a tough time deciding what A player to dump first...made the decision a little easier.

PS...trades thread?

02-09-2017, 11:49 AM
Well. Choosing to sacrifice week 1 points to avoid burning trades on Rotterdam worked out SO well... :hammerself:

02-09-2017, 05:27 PM
Picking Thiem and Cilic was pretty much sacrificing points as well.

02-10-2017, 11:37 AM
I'm guessing texasniteowl and mysterX will be our week 1 leaders, or at least very close to it - the only two who took the Tsonga/Goffin/Dimitrov trio for their A team - all 3 are into the semis now, while no other A player even won a match.

02-10-2017, 07:14 PM
TFW half your team is out or goes out to injury and you DIDN'T even pick Nishikori. Sheesh.

02-11-2017, 05:45 AM
With Evans out, I have no one in the Memphis draw...but there are approximately zero people I trust in that draw to add.

02-11-2017, 06:12 AM
yeah, I thought about replacing Evans on my team...but I don't really want to use a trade at the C level...I think.

02-11-2017, 06:48 PM
Update...literally just realized I have 4...4 out of my 12...in the 1st week finals. Big dilemma now...who is most likely to withdraw from week 2 tourneys! :nailbiter:

02-11-2017, 06:54 PM
Whoever withdraws...it'll be after the deadline!

02-17-2017, 06:54 AM
Trade 1: A Zverev OUT, Cuevas IN
Trade 2: Bautista Agut OUT, Karlovic IN

Note to self: great trading

02-18-2017, 06:30 PM
10 players this week and 0 semifinalists...I can't remember having a total disaster like this before.

02-19-2017, 08:38 AM
I debated about who to trade out: Cilic or Tsonga. I chose Tsonga. Swell move...

02-19-2017, 12:15 PM
Dolgopolov comes up big for patrick this week and Harrison for mysterX.

02-20-2017, 08:53 PM
Definitely too many clay courters...they went 0-3 for me today. I'm especially perplexed about Cuevas, he of 5 clay titles over last 3 years...now he can't win a match.

03-03-2017, 06:05 PM
Well, I've called a lot of things wrong during this tour...and I wasted at least one trade so was stuck when Raonic pulled out. But...

at least this week, Sousa, Ramos, and Carreno-Busta are all still alive for me...as well as Nadal looking good...up 6-1, 3-2 on Cilic.

03-03-2017, 07:19 PM
Looks like my team picked the wrong week to start sniffing glue...

03-03-2017, 08:04 PM
Well, if my math is correct, I believe tomorrow's Carreno Busta-Cuevas match will determine the ATW winner.

If Carreno Busta wins, Texasniteowl will improve upon his 2016 ATW silver medal and take his first fantasy tennis title.

If Cuevas wins, waylandboy will win his second ATW title and his seventh fantasy tennis title.

Probably a coin flip match based on recent form vs H2H. Good luck!

03-03-2017, 08:29 PM
Good luck to you as well! I hadn't done that math, so thanks for the update! I'm just glad to improve on my week 3 performance.

03-04-2017, 12:01 PM
And....Cuevas has the 1st break but we are early (very!) in the 1st set.

03-04-2017, 06:13 PM
Cuevas actually decided this after his terrible first couple tournaments?

03-04-2017, 07:10 PM
yeah, just my luck

03-04-2017, 09:08 PM
These counts are not official, but I think the medalists have been decided, with one match to go. waylandboy for gold, texasniteowl for silver and patrick for bronze. The gaps between them, and between 3rd and 4th, can't be closed no matter the result of the Sao Paulo final.

03-04-2017, 09:57 PM
lol...I think I'm pretty happy with moving from 4th to 2nd in the final week! :yahoo: it would have been nice if Carreno-Busta could have come thru for me to give me my 1st gold, but then I should have held back one more of my trades for the final week too.

03-05-2017, 05:49 AM
Surprised that I didn't lose the bronze after Federer choked vs Donskoy and Kohlschreiber failed on 7 MPs

03-05-2017, 09:33 AM
congrats. a wacky contest to say the least. See you at IW for the practice SP ;)
