Welcome survivors to Day 9 of the 2013 United States Open Men’s Suicide Pool! Today, we conclude the men's round of 16.

You will be making one pick EACH DAY of the Men’s event (NOT one each round), and once you use a player, you can never use him again. There is a “picks and results thread” posted so you can check the choices you have already made. Please check it. Don't accidentally double-pick this late in the game.

FOLLOW THE POSTED SCHEDULE OF PLAY BELOW. BE CAREFUL.

Post your Day 9 pick by replying IN THIS THREAD. Your pick must be in by the start of play in New York, rain or shine, that is Tuesday, September 3 at 11:00 AM New York time (east coast), 8:00 AM on the west coast. For those in Europe, London is five (5) hours later than the east coast. Don’t be late as we hate making those hard decisions, but we will. This thread will be locked at 11:00 AM EDT, so please don't wait until the last minute or you may find it locked when you hit "post".

You might want to scout your player and make sure there is not a known injury or illness issue.

If you change your mind after you make your pick, and before the deadline, please make a second post advising us of your change - PLEASE DO NOT make your change in your original post, as we often go through the posts before closing to begin the task of updating the picks and results, and we might miss a change if you edit your original pick.

Best of luck!

Tuesday’s schedule of play consists of the 4 FOURTH ROUND MATCHES FROM TOP half of the men’s draw:

Novak Djokovic (SRB) [1] v Marcel Granollers (ESP)
Mikhail Youzhny (RUS) [21] v Lleyton Hewitt (AUS)
Andy Murray (GBR) [3] v Denis Istomin (UZB)
Stanislas Wawrinka (SUI) [9] v Tomas Berdych (CZE) [5]

Open!

Remember to make a pick even if your day 8 pick does not finish.
