Welcome to New York all, and to our final Suicide Pool for 2013. You'll note that following the outright bloodbath that was Wimbledon 2013, we've made the lounge a little bit larger to accommodate all the guests that arrive after first round losses. So pull up one of our comfy chairs, and be prepared to join your fellow tennis fans as you get Melzer'd, Monf'd or Makarova'd.

Our staff will be serving up the tastiest libations on the internet. Go ahead, ask for anything. You deserve it after that sure-thing pick goes down in flames.

We have the Jukebox From Hell, spinning those all time classics that you'd just as soon forget. With we're entering the City that never sleeps for this event, how about we start with an NYC tribute by porn star turned disco strumpet, Andrea True....

Remember, if you lose in one of the games, you are officially half-cheeked. When you are out in both the mens and ladies games you are double cheeked.

Fastest I've ever gotten here on the women's side (granted, only been playing this year). But yikes! Never picking Erakovic again. It's only a slight consolation that my second pick (Rybarikova) lost today too. Feeling pretty lucky that I decided Nishikori wasn't the best choice today, maybe I can survive on the men's side.

I think it might be, suliso. We've had any number of same day double cheekers, but I can't recall it ever happening with both players being the opening match on their respective courts.

I've been double-cheeked in the first day session before. So sorry for you and your liver!

There should be a consolation Suicide Pool contest, where you have to pick a loser each day, yet you have to lose to stay alive...or dead...this is already complicated, and I don't belong here!

Well, I was picking the matchup, considering MR's pretty decent hardcourt results this year. But now that I look deeper... her record at majors is awful and I don't know how I missed that injury withdrawal at New Haven :( My bad!

What? Injury withdrawals in a tournament the week before a major actually involve injuries?

You know, if I had just done my homework for yesterday's women's match, I wouldn't have picked crazy Cibulkova! Svitolina is young and hungry, is in top 5, has a title this year!, and has more wins that Cibulkova!

What should I get to represent a suicide drink, because I did it to myself, I can't even blame Cibulkova... stupid computer rankings!

I live in Florida, so let's try:

Tropical Suicide recipe
serve in Collins Glass
Scale ingredients to servings
1 oz BacardiŽ Superior rum
2 oz MalibuŽ coconut rum
1/2 oz Jose CuervoŽ Especial gold tequila
4 oz pineapple juice
4 oz cranberry juice
4 oz orange juice

Pour Bacardi rum into a collins glass. Add Malibu rum, Jose Cuervo tequila, pineapple juice, cranberry juice and orange juice. Stir, add a few ice cubes, and serve.

After 7 years of playing ALL Sp's (I have not missed a single one since I got to TAT) I have yet to score a medal. Have made one final. have made the second week twice.
