Main Draw play for the 8th Annual TAT Indian Wells Suicide Pool begins Wednesday, March 7 for the Ladies and Thursday, March 8 for the Men...so our IWSP will commence with an opening ladies thread sometime Tuesday, March 8 6 (once qualifiers have been placed into the Main Draw). Day 1 picks will be Ladies' picks only, and will be due by the start of play on Wednesday, March 7 (per the Indian Wells website, play begins at 11:00 a.m. Pacific Time, which is 2:00 p.m. Eastern).

Our annual Indian Wells and Miami Suicide Pools are for fun and practice in working your way through a draw. We do not keep a running Picks and Results thread, and players do "self-scoring. You'll have to keep track of your daily picks...we encourage you to copy and paste your previous posts into your daily pick post for as long as you remain alive in the game.

We also do not advertise our practice SPs on other sites, this is just for us to enjoy.

We will have a Daily Picks thread, with the matches for that day posted in "Day ____ " formatting, as we do with all of our official Slam Suicide Pools.

Whew...was worried about if these would happen. No place like practice pools to shine!

opening ladies thread sometime Tuesday, March 8

Is this today? I assume you meant the 6th rather than 2 days into play?

The byproduct of sloppy cut and paste jobs. Yes, James, the Day 1 thread will be opened sometime later today, when the OOP for tomorrow becomes available.

"We also do not advertise our practice SPs on other sites, this is just for us to enjoy."

Does that mean people from the other sites are not allowed to participate?

Not at all, sokoll. For our main pools, we enlist the support of our friends at SI, Tennis.com, and other bloggers and tennis resources to promote the game. But we keep the 2 SPs from the US Spring Hardcourt swing just between people who visit the board. If players from past games stop by to play, all the better. We just do not actively solicit participants like we do come Slam time.
