That is true, but you didn't have to rub it in. Don't worry, they have until fall to catch-up. [smiley=argue.gif]

P.S. I love to see George's wrinkled and puffed up face when he's upset - lol.

LOL! I do too.

my Yankee hatred intensified a few years back when they bought Mussina. Mike Mussina is an Oriole and he'll always be an Oriole to me. There's just something wrong about him becoming a Yankee!

I'm wondering if said hatred will lessen as I become more and more the New Yorker in a few months!

No doubt about it, Seberdoodle. The Bronx Bombers will suck you right in. I love when Mussina's leg slides back during his wind-up.

My favorite pitcher, Orlando Hernandez - El Duque, is now a Cub. Am I doomed or what? - lol

Hah! The Yankees are back in first place :D

New York won for the 11th time in 13 games and improved to a season-high nine games over .500 at 50-41, good for a half-game lead over Boston and Baltimore (both 50-42). The Yankees, whose 11-19 start was their worst since 1966, were nine games back after play on May 7.

"I can't explain how proud I am of this group of guys. They keep plugging away and keep battling," said Torre, who celebrated his 65th birthday. "It's quite a credit to their desire and focus and determination."

The Yankees, who have won seven straight division titles, had not been alone in first since beating the Red Sox in the April 3 season opener and had not held a share since after games of April 9, when they were tied with Tampa Bay and Toronto.

"It's a stepping stone, but we've got much loftier goals on this club," said Alex Rodriguez, who walked after Robinson's Cano single and scored the final run.
