View Full Version : The USOSP Losers Lounge is OPEN FOR BUSINESS

Party down, everyone. It's time to hit the light switch, unbolt the door, and welcome everyone to our now world famous Suicide Pool Loser's Lounge. The place to be, and be mocked seen after you have been Petrova'd, Pennetta'd or Peng'd.

We have Jessie our staff bartender serving up the tastiest libations on the internet. If you ask for it, he can probably make it (or at least find a Google Image of it). Of course, if you are on the bandwagon of the day, it might take him a few minutes to get to your request.

We have the Jukebox From Hell, spinning those all time classics that you'd just as soon forget. You know, like "I Love The Nightlife" (sorry, TA). Or "Julie, Do Ya Love Me". Or anything Marie Osmond ever recorded, thought about recording, or sang in the shower (I'll post "Meet Me In Montana" if you want to debate that).

Remember, if you lose in one of the games, you are officially half-cheeked. When you are out in both the mens and ladies games you are double cheeked.

And TA, I always remember your telling me once that you loved to karaoke to that song. It is nice of you to play it in my honor, particularly since I am hooked on Sirius's newest station, Studio54 Radio. Anyone who gets in my car has to be wondering when the disco ball is going to descend from the top.

I almost took him merely out of loyalty. He was always a reliable 1st round pick, but he did not have that great a summer.

Of course, he will now probably team up with AMG and doom all of us.

Basically in the same boat, I literally don't trust any one of the lower seeds, and I've basically never heard of any of the unseeded players. Women's draw lost at least 90 today....Hantuchova shafted even more people today than Nishikori's retirement yesterday.

Double-cheeked on Day 2 thanks to Dani and Olivier. Ugh!

I'm not too upset about my Dani pick - she is almost always good for a couple of rounds - but I violated one of own SP rules when I picked Rochus. Don't pick non-seeds playing qualifiers in the first round. The qualifiers are match-toughened and used to the surface, while the non-seeds are question marks for a first match. Also, the difference in talent between the non-seeds and the qualifiers is not all that great. I bet the qualifiers win close to 50% of these matches.

Now as for picking non-seeds against wild cards, that is a totally different rule...

Anyway, I'll be at the bar drowning my sorrows.

Okay, DS is in bed, making exploding airplane noises; Serena put the nails in Jovanovski's coffin; and DH (Motobass) is couch-bound with leg pain, trying to replace the pain in the leg with a pain the ass by watching Bill O'Reilly and Paul Krugman argue.
