I'm confused about the "saves" ... I assume that "kills" means # of people who have picked that player and gotten bounced. I'd assume that "saves" means # of people who have picked that player successfully, but I can't imagine no one has ever successfully picked Federer at Wimbledon?

Both assumptions are correct. The Federer anomaly is due to the fact that my stats only go back to the USO '09 SP, so I only have one wimbledon at hand and last year no one chose Federer.

ah, that makes sense ... since everyone was saving him and he got knocked out in the quarters. Thanks!
