With the first week officially under our belt, we have our first official scoreboard!

SCOOOOOOOREBOOOOOOOARD.

Sorry.

Since everyone here obviously selected Andujar and Sweeting as the tournament winners *snicker* we had only a medium-scoring week. Congrats to those who did have Andujar on their teams, especially waylandboy-tw who had both Casablanca finalists. As for Houston, the kinda-sorta-clay-court tournament, no one had Sweeting, but props to James7 who was the only one who chose Nishikori. Only time will tell if that trade will amount to more.

In Casablanca, waylandboy-tw finished first, buoyed by his two finalists, one point ahead of Miles and patrick. The scores for this tournament were significantly higher than those of that other tournament, where James7's Nishikori pick lead him to a first-place finish, in front of Jkfriedman and ponchi101.

After the first week, Miles leads by a dozen over patrick and waylandbow-tw comes in nine points behind that.

Congrats to all our leaders, and good luck dethroning three-time Monte Carlo champ tinamarie!

Congrats to Miles and Patrick on a nice start.:) I'm just hoping I can make up some ground in MC now that you both have identical teams via trades.

Also, good luck this week to Tinamarie!

Yay! I get my name mentioned. Success!

Taking another oddball risk for MC, so we'll see if that pays off too. Otherwise everyone will quickly leave me in the dust. :p

After a somewhat predictable week, with Nadal winning his seventh straight Monte Carlo tournament and three of the top four seeds making the semis, it is little surprise that our top three leaders did not change.

Miles retains the top position, the same dozen points ahead of patrick he was after Week 1, and waylandboy-tw maintains his third-place spot 27 points off the lead.

Congratulations also go out to this week's leaders, Charlie02123 and shtexas, who tied for top honors (the latter being the sole beneficiary of Murray's semifinal showing), followed by a three-way tie in third of FEBravo, lukeorion, and Synth.

Congratulations all!

Substitutions for Barcelona are due before the start of play tomorrow, Barcelona time. The exact time for the start of the Order of Play is not up yet, but prepare for a deadline of 4AM EST, 1 AM PST, just in case the start of play is as early as 10AM local time.

A Nadal/Ferrer final? So surprising!

Little change in the scoreboard, but with a three-tournament week coming up, I expect a lot more shifting. Miles continues to lead by a dozen points over patrick, with waylandboy-tw maintaining the bronze-medal position, but he is now tied with James7, who could have taken sole possession of 3rd with a Lopez win over Dodig.

Speaking of James7, he won the week by virtue of his near all-four-semifinalist finish, but Charlie02123 ended the week only one point behind, finishing in the top 3 for the second week in a row. Oploskoffie rounds out our top three.

Good luck in MunichEstorilBelgrade!

Lots of changes today, and lots to report!

Six contestants had all three tournament winners this week (Davydenko, del Potro, Djokovic): top three Omegadoom, e11even, and natkl, as well as Ribbons, oploskoffie, Charlie02123.

In Belgrade, the top three were shtexas, ponchi101, and waylandboy-tw; in Estoril, the week's leaders were just horsen, Omegadoom, and TennisAnyone74; finally, in Munich, waylandboy-tw won the week by one point over the foursome of Omegadoom, natkl, e11even, and Fiercehart.

In the overall leaderboard changes, we have had a lot of movement. For the first time, we have a change at the top, with waylandboy-tw taking over top position, e11even picking up the second space, and last year's TSiP winner natkl silently jumping up into the third position.

But with Masters events Madrid and Rome rounding out the contest, there are still a lot of points up for grabs!

Thanks to Davydenko and JMDP, I finally had a good week! That was badly needed as the Madrid draw wasn't so kind to my team.

Kudos to the others who also did well!

Sorry, but there is something odd with my score. I had Djokovic in my team for this week (post # 57 in the substitutions thread) yet I only have 12 points from Belgrade. And I substituted early (April 21st) so I guess it was valid.
Please, pretty please. I need all the points I can if I am to even get close to the end of this tourney. Txs
(Actually, almost every body had Novak this week, yet the scores for Belgrade are really low. Maybe Munich and Belgrade are flipped?)

Yup! So sorry. I did everything alphabetically, except apparently when I set up the scoreboard, I inverted the tournaments. Nice catch.

Just to be sure, I double-checked the scores again with mine and wayland's, and everything was correct, with the exception of the columns being switched. Sorry I couldn't add any more points to your (or anyone else's) score!

Djokovic beats Nadal in a third final this year in grand fashion, and extends his streak of unbeaten matches this season. Highly entertaining.

The top three this week were shtexas, Synth, and Charlie02123, who have all positioned themselves very nicely going into the last week, and are among a group of about nine at the top with an excellent chance of getting a medal this contest. We'll see if those who had trades will earn enough points from them!

Overall, we had some change around the top of the leaderboard. E11even moves up one space from last week to take the sole lead going into the final week, followed closely behind shtexas, whose point-leading Madrid week vaults him into the second position, just ahead of early-leader-and-still-hovering Miles, who retakes a medal position.

Lots of possible scenarios ahead in Rome (how far will Nadal and Djokovic get, for example?) and will the late trade-ins of Federer continue to pay dividends? Will Verdasco finally earn some points as he continues to piss me off for actually beating Raonic, despite my BotB choice? So many possibilities; it's going to be a great final week!

Congratulations to our winners! Djokovic wins his 8213491st consecutive match (what a year so far!) and we have our final standings.

1st place goes to waylandboy-tw whose final trades were just able to hang on through the two Masters events to stay atop the leaderboard.

2nd place was Charlie02123, who can thank Florian Mayer, in part, for medalling. Interesting to note that he was last after the first week. Maybe I'll employ that strategy next time!

And 3rd place is Miles, our weeks' 1-3 leader, who was able to jump back into medal position after slipping out of the top 3 after last week.

We had a very close tournament this time - well done to those who finished very close to the top!

For the winners: someone will be awarding your medals soon!

Beau, it was a pleasure working with you throughout this contest. Everything you do for TAT is first rate! Next year, just remember to get your team in.;)

It didnít come easy but Iím obviously thrilled to win my second TSiP title. Congrats to Charlie on a great contest and to Miles on now having one of each color medal in TSiP. Going back-to-back in ATW and TSiP is another personal contest highlight and my third fantasy tennis title now puts me in a three-way tie with Shtexas and Miles, one back of oploskoffieís four titles.

It was fun. ...Now watch Golubev win at RG when I'm this close to picking whomever he draws first round.

I can see him making the final, but I just can't see him beating Donald Young. :cheesy:

Beau, it was a pleasure working with you throughout this contest. Everything you do for TAT is first rate! Next year, just remember to get your team in.;)

It didnít come easy but Iím obviously thrilled to win my second TSiP title. Congrats to Charlie on a great contest and to Miles on now having one of each color medal in TSiP. Going back-to-back in ATW and TSiP is another personal contest highlight and my third fantasy tennis title now puts me in a three-way tie with Shtexas and Miles, one back of oploskoffieís four titles.

Perhaps its time to not let Goldmember...... I like goooooooold Waylandboy assist in any more contests, since he has won 2 golds in the 2 contests he has helped run! :cheesy: ;)

Dont go Natkl, rumor has it that Belsus has been shacked up there lately! ;)

I wish I could somehow be transported to where the spammer's are when they post their spam. I would get such relief, and yes, joy, in punching them in the mouth.

Are you implying that Super Viagra doesn't belong in a fantasy tennis scoring thread?

You did a great job again, natkl! So close to another TSiP medal. (Maybe you shouldn't play next year... give the rest of us a chance ;))
