If the look of this draw, and last year's results, are any indication, I give it about 3 hours until our first patrons are here.

I picked a british lady so I am just reserving my table please.

Nice approach, Morct. Instead of waiting for your player to lose, why not just come in, grab a good seat, and watch your pick lose on the LL's 51" big screen (with Bose Surround Sound), while sipping a cool beverage.

Jessie, can I get a cranberry juice on the rocks? Czink's probably going down in flames anyway :)

Having said that, has Kaia been taking blonde lessons from Alona?

It's my own fault. Up to a year ago, I was pretty much laughing off Czink every time I saw her mentioned in a draw. Then she wins a few matches, and suddenly, she's SP pick-able to me. I should have known better.

Oh well. One less thing to worry about as I get ready to head west.

I usually avoid players I've ranted on in the past (See Lisicki who I'm still miffed over for beating Lindsay but then picked her in an SP and she knocked me out both times.) I'm surprised Vania won, mainly because of how badly I dragged her over the coals for beating Domi at the AO.

I'd like to request a new attraction to be added to the Losers' Lounge barroom, perhaps next to the jukebox. It'd be kind of like one of those dunking booths at a state fair. But, here, instead of "Dunk the...," it would be "Punch the Player." It would be a place to take your best swing at a player before they are sent to the TAT Lake of Fire, in order to increase their suffering and ease your own. This could be a very profitable fundraiser for TAT, as such a pleasure should cost at least 1 TAT dollar, or maybe a few wedges of TAT:cheese:

For all the times he's beaten my favorites in close matches, but for failing to come through today, I'd like to Punch Victor Hanescu.

Oh, Aravane, you were such a good pick, too. But it really serves you right for the awful taste in courtwear.

If it's any consolation to me, I later found what I thought was an even better choice for today's pool, but decided to stick with my first thought. I would have lost anyway, as Lisicki retired. (Or was there a known injury issue here?--I was surprised that I didn't see a lot of picks for her).

Oh wait, and I picked Victor Hanescu, too! Double-cheeked, in one quick session. That entitles me to TWO drinks. A cosmopolitan for the left hand, and a martini, very dry, straight up with a twist for the right!
