Patriland takes Kim Yu-Na on Day 13

I wonder if Plushenko would say "if you can't do a triple axel, you don't deserve the gold", if he were a woman?

There is no doubt she is going to win the gold. But, I am not going to pick up any ground always choosing the same as everyone else.

As I mentioned in another thread, my pick for this event is Joannie Rochette. She can't make up the difference to win gold if the top two skaters don't fall on their butts, but, I mean, it's so compelling to pick Joannie under the circumstances, even if she wasn't Canadian.

Only because I think she would have won in Torino if she'd been allowed to skate. I'm not going to win the contest anyway.

OTOH, (as I now see shtexas has pointed out) I'm not going to ground by making the same pick as everyone else. So I hope Kim falls on her ass, and the gold goes to Mao Asada
