laj2100's response to the stats on TOB:

Martina Hingis's tennis career before she retired sometime ago covers 141 WTA tournaments played. Serena Williams tennis career covers just 85 tournaments so far. Therefore, Martina Hingis has played 56 WTA tournaments than Serena Williams has. So, let's now put these two players career in the proper perspective of proportion.

1. Hingis's Grand Slam career success is 5 GS titles from 30 Grand Slam tournament played = 17% (16.7) GS success. Where as, Serena's Grand Slam career success is 7 GS titles from 26 GS tournaments played = 27% (26.9)GS success.

2. Hingis's Grand Slam Win/Loss record is 134 - 25 = 84.3%. Where as, Serena's Grand Slam Win/Loss record is 115-19= 86% (85.8).

3. Hingis's Career Win/Loss record is 471-101= 82.3%. Serena's Career Win/Loss record is 299-59= 83.5%.

4. Hingis Career Prize Money earnings was $18,345,825, averaging 18,345,825.00/141= $130,112.00 per tournament played. On the other hand, Serena Career Prize Money Earnings is $15,874,887 so far, averaging $15,874,887.00/85 = $186,763.38 per tournament, making her the most success female tennis player ever in terms of prize money earned.

5. Serena Williams career H2H record is quite superior to not only Martina Hingis's, but to all active WTA players.

6. Serena Williams is one just FIVE women to ever hold all four Grand Slam titles at the same time. Martina Hingis is not on that list.

7. Serena Williams is one of just EIGHT women to hold a Career Grand Slam (winning all four Grand Slams throughout a career). Martina Hingis is not part of that list.

It is rather insulting and disrespectful to be still comparing Martina Hingis with Serena Williams in terms of better success story.
