Welcome to Day 11, which is semifinal day in TAT's 6th Annual Australian Open Women’s Suicide Pool.

We're down to just 2 of you after yesterday's matches. Hard to believe that once again, the Aussie Open proves to be a Herculean task on the womens side. Year after year, people encounter difficulty in lasting the fotnight. So to still be alive going into the semis is a great accomplishment.

NOTE: Some time tomorrow we will be posting the tiebreak instructions for the prize that is being given by our friend Jon Wertheim of Sports Illustrated. Be sure to check back for details.

Again, you will be making one pick EACH DAY of the women’s event (NOT one each round), and once you use a player, you can never use her again. There is a “picks and results thread” posted so you can check the choices you have already made. Especially at this point in the game, it is vital to check your earlier picks. We have lost people in the past this late in the game for making a duplicate pick.

It is very important you follow the schedule of play for the day posted below.

Post your Day 11 pick by replying IN THIS THREAD. Your pick must be in before the start of play for the day in Melbourne, rain or shine. For day 11, that’s Thursday, 11:00 AM in AUSTRALIA. For those in the US, that is Wednesday 7:00 PM EST. Please do not be late, as we hate making those hard decisions, but we will. This thread will be locked at the deadline, so please don't wait until the last minute or you may find it locked when you hit "post."

If you change your mind after you make your pick, and before the deadline, please make a second post advising us of your change - PLEASE DO NOT make your change in your original post, as we often go through the posts before closing to begin the task of updating the picks and results, and we might miss a change if you edit your original pick.

You might want to scout your player and make sure there is not a known injury or illness issue.

Good luck!

Thursday's Order of Play consists of these two semifinal matches. And remember, in making your semifinal pick, you are also effectively naming who you believe the winner is. You must, however, come back and make your final pick to complete the game.

Serena Williams USA (1) vs. Na Li CHN (16)

Justine Henin (BEL) vs. Jie Zheng (CHN)

Thanks for the kind words, Jmcguire. And congrats on a great run yourself. Win or lose today, you did better than over 99% of this pool's players!

Perfect - with two players left in the game, we're going head to head for the championship, the medal, and the Sports Illustrated prize!

Great job to the both of you. This was a blast of an SP, and I'm so glad to see it end this way.

And with the day's play ready to begin, our Day 11 picks are closed.

Sometime withon the next few hours, we will have a champion of our 2010 Aussie Open Suicide Pool. From a start of 355, we will be down to one person. And this is without having gotten to the finals, which only one person can do anyway.
