Men's Wooden Spoon Winner: Nicolas Lapentti
Women's Wooden Spoon Winner: Alberta Brianti

1. PeterSkan finishes first with 76 points. This will be the standard against which all future YCWJ performances will be measured. Unbelievable.:banana::banana:

T2. GreenGourd and manolo tie for second with 68. manolo with a very impressive debut in YCWJ. How about GreenGourd being the only member to pick both the men's and women's wooden spoon winners. Top notch.:rockon::rockon:

4. jkfriedman in fourth powered by Brianti with his #1 confidence pick :yes::yes:

5. JTContinental rounds out the top 5 :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Congratulations again to GreenGourd and jkfriedman for correctly picking Alberta Brianti as the Women's Wooden Spoon Winner.

Congratulations to Drop-shot, Federex, gracie, GreenGourd, JTContinental, Madame, Madoun, manolo, myself, munchin, Omegadoom, PeterSkan, Togtdyalttai, and Tscott415 for picking Nicolas Lapentti as the Men's Wooden Spoon Winner.

PeterSkan pulls off the French Open-Wimbledon double as carlitos did in 2008. Way to go Peter!

And great job GreenGourd to be the only TATer who had both the Men's and Women's Wooden Spooners!

Peter! Two in a row! Congratulations!

BTW, I just realized you never got your medal from the French Open, so you're going to get TWO in short order... But first, I have to figure out how to create a NEW medal... And then I have to go back and charge martini's medal for the Australian. The medal should say "YCWJ Champion", not TAT Olympic Gold... That was a different contest.

I'll get it straightened out asap!

Congrats to PeterSkan! Amazing performance!

I'm thrilled to have finished in second place, and I'm stunned that I correctly picked both of the wooden spoon, er, winners.

Thanks so much for organizing this!

Madoun,

It's a bit of a grind. But Togtdyalttai did most of the heavy lifting this time so many thanks to him!

Oh...And now that the contest is over, I'm going out to the pool for a couple of hours. Not a cloud in the sky and high of 105 here in Vegas today. :)

I wonder how PeterSkan is celebrating his great victory. :)

Way to go, PeterSkan! You pulled off the "carlitos double" and you did it with style. I feel like I should be present at the awards ceremony. Can I be Pete Sampras to your Roger Federer? Or maybe I should be someone from the pre-Open Era so I can grouse about how the prize money back in my day was nothing like it is now. :)

Thanks carlitos, but never mind the "carlitos double". I'm going for the SkanCan Triple!! At the 2009 USO I will prove to one and all that I am the biggest loser of all time. I will eclipse the 76 measley points from this tournament with a perfect score *and* land the wooden spoons as my top seeds.

muhahahahahah!

And if I don't, I will blubber at the podium !

Seriously, folks ... thank you for your kind words. This is a great contest, one I enjoy very much. It really prompts you to look deep into the draw, well past the usual suspects.

Looking forward to the USO YCWJ already!
