Don't forget about this one!

Top Prize is a $500 gift card to tennis warehouse

2-5 is the new book by Pete Sampras

6-10 gets a T-Shirt :)

Go to www.tourneytopia.com

If that doesn't work, try www.tennischannel.com and follow the link. It took me a few tries, but I eventually got through.

I'm in. :)

To me these draws were incredibly more difficult to fill out than RG.

AHHHH!

I've been trying to submit these for the past half hour. It keeps saying there's an error.

I went and got ice cream and came back and tried again a few times, on different computers. Still nothing. I've now tried with Safari, Firefox, and Internet Explorer.

Sorry to hear that - the same thing happened to some folks before RG who tried to submit at the last moment :(

I had the same problem the night before the French started (Sat night). So for Wimbledon I was sure to get my picks in early. Because, y'know, I'm sure I'll come in first.

This was the first time I did one of these without any H2H research. We'll see how it works out. I banked a little on Peter Lundgren coaching Baghs (quarters only). The women's was a complete mess

Still trying. Still no luck.

But while we're here:

How many unseeded players did y'all put into the third round or later?

On the WTA side, I have... (counting) Eight! (in the third round)

Namely: Kerber, AMG, Vesnina, Na Li, Mattek, Safarova, Peng, and Wickmayer.

For the round of 16, Wickmayer is the only unseeded player I chose. I'm nervous about it because she could easily lose to Sugiyama in the first round.

I only have 5 unseeded players making the third round on the ATP. I know less about the men's side, so I take less risks. No unseeded players in the R16.

9 in the third round and 2 in the 4th (Stosur and Wickmayer)

For men - 7 in the third round and 3 in the 4th and 2 in QF (Cilic and PEHK)

I'm conflicted about Stosur. I think she's in good form and should play well. My issue is if she plays Vaidisova or Zuz in the second round. If she plays ZO, I like her chances to get to the 4th. If she plays Vaidisova, she's 0-5. I ended up picking Vaidisova to win her match against ZO, and it kind of dominoed. She ended up in the quarters losing to Ivanovic.

Wow! Gutsy. I had Cilic losing to Nieminen. The "expert" giving tips on tennis.com picked Nieminen to make the semis. He used the section being Nikolay's as his excuse, but it was still a weak argument at best.

It would make perfect sense with A level Nicole... I was not prepared to bet that we will see that :cheesy:

I've tried four times on the men's bracket--twice last night and twice tonight--to no avail. Had no problem with the women this morning. So I'm in on the women and out on the men. Too bad. But I have little patience for inferior technology.

I'm pretty sure I had Nieminen going out in the first round... Can't remember to whom, though.

She has to play Zuz, Stosur, Schnyder, and Chakvetadze. I think it would still work with B- Nicole with the way those opponents are playing. She's been D Nicole lately though, so I am gambling that she will step it up.

Cilic would play Davydenko in the round of 16, so if you have him losing to Nikolay than it's R16.
I have Ferrer losing to Berdych in the R16. Since my pick of Berdych in the quarters of Rolland Garros worked so well, I figured if it ain't broke don't fix it. (Sigh...)

I think Suliso meant Davydenko by "him," asking if I had him over Cilic or kicked him off earlier.

I'm not going with Tomas again after RG (also had him in that quarter)

Ohhhhh.

Berdych angers me, but he has a better chance to make it up to me on grass. If he made the quarters and I hadn't predicted it, I would be pissed.

Big congrats to fierceheart for leading TAT in both categories!

I'm surprised that I'm doing better in ATP than WTA. In WTA I'm proud of my somewhat unusual picks of Mattek and AMG making the third round. I didn't have any odd picks on the men's side pan out. Go figure.

It's impressive either way. I've always thought the earlier rounds should count for more. It seems like these contests are only winnable if you picked the correct champion. Then, from the people who chose that person, whoever had the better early round picks wins.

I think that's why TAT always starts off real well and then a few people end up in the top 20 and a bunch of others plummet.

For instance, I was in one bracket where I had the right final, and if the person I chose to win won I would have been 2nd overall. She didn't, and I ended up somewhere in the 1000s, I think.

That might be an exaggeration, but it was definitely at least the 200s.

Incidentally, of all 4500-ish, 1 person picked Yen-Hsun Lu to win it all. Do you think it was Yen-Hsun Lu?

Is Lu a lucky loser? That would explain it. We were all confused in an earlier one by that. Maybe it's his mom.
